Bio: David Dunn was born in San Diego, CA in 1966. He attended Parson's School of Design in Los Angeles and Scuola Il Bisonte in Florence, Italy. He received his BA from UC Santa Cruz in 1989 and his MFA from Queens College CUNY in 1994. David has exhibited his work in group shows at the British School at Rome, Societa' Dante Alighieri, Florence, Hunter College, New York, the Bowery Gallery, New York, and Gallery Route 1, Fort Mason, San Francisco. He has taught art classes at Queens College CUNY, Millberry Programs UCSF and at the Sharon Art Studio in Golden Gate Park. In 1995 he painted wall murals for the exhibition Dancing to the Fossil Record at California Academy of Sciences. In 2007 David painted a mural for the Franco Sarto retail store in San Francisco. Since 1998 he has painted scenery for the San Francisco Ballet and San Francisco Opera. Within that time he has painted sets for motion pictures and television pilots filmed in the Bay Area including currently the airing Alcatraz.
