Bio:
Begonia Blossom Herbert is an painter who works with several different mediums, primarily with acrylic paints and charcoal. She was born in Santa Cruz, California and attended several different schools around the country growing up. She attended City College of San Francisco where she studied Psychology and Photography. However, she was trained in acrylic painting by a close friend and mentor, after school. She spends the majority of her time in the Bay Area traveling and working on her artwork. She counts Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Vincent van Gough, Frida Kahlo, Hollis Hart, Jackson Pollock and Ansel Adams as some of her favorite artists.
Begonia moved to L.A. in the summer of 2011 where she is currently experimenting with the birth of Naturism, a movement of art based around the belief that through art, Nirvana can be reached. She now resides in San Francisco, California where she is an active member of the arts community. Her artwork is in privately held collections, on the streets and she participates in group art shows. She is a member of Big Umbrella Studios, Collective Art Gallery in the Western Addition. |
