Jesse Lu Schreier

Bio: Jesse Lu is a San Francisco Bay Area native, growing up just minutes from the Golden Gate bridge in an incredibly creative household. Outside of San Francisco, she most often visits her family in Red Lodge, Montana, where she can be equally immersed in a creative community. She is a student at San Francisco State University from where she will be graduating in the summer of 2011 with a B.A. in Studio Art, focus in ceramics and textiles. Jesse Lu has been studying ceramics at City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University since spring of 2005. Recently she joined Red Brick Studio, a new cooperative studio space in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district. In addition to working in clay, she also works in jewelry design and traditional fiber arts. Jesse Lu also writes a popular blog about ceramics, which is part of a growing online presence of contemporary ceramic artists and galleries.
